@Eden Pigeon There are also different types of Trap. Like the Trap from culture, since I am black, which was mainly associated with rappers talking about drugs, guns, and crap like that. So, in black culture, there is this thing called a "Trap House." It was basically a house that had a ton of drug dealers and you have a high likelihood of getting shot. They would normally play Trap songs from gangsters, like Snoop Dogg, and he would literally be talking about stuff like that. So, this is the type of Trap people are referring to.
@ProBeatz Trap is being associated with hip hop a lot lately, and it bothers me bc this is not trap, it's hip hop. Real trap is almost a sub category of dubstep, a dark vibe with a crisp melody and groovy chords. Hip hop is more like this, a nice beat, some powerful bass and recycled melody being played thru the track, like something you could rap to. So yea, trap and hip hop are very different, but a lot of hip hop artists are calling their stuff trap even tho it's hip hop. This is a perfect example
