you guys miss the point. i love trap. good snappy drums, thick 808s, well used samples and original melodies, clever mixing with parts that makes you go "oooooh goddamn". what i dont like is 4 elements (shit drums, 808s, simple melodie, shit chord progression) that some people in theses comments make all day long. its easy, already overdone, repetitive and generally boring and unoriginal. we've been making trap for more than 8 years now, and unlike most genre, trap hasnt really evolve. my favorite trap artist is "sin", he uses a fair amount of good ass samples and makes fucking bangers.
The deal is, Soundation was a very EDM-oriented community until they started rebranding themselves around 2018-2019, to appeal more to the Soundcloud Rapper-type people. So that's why most of the community isn't really a fan of trap, because the entire notion of Soundation being a trap-dominant site is pretty new, and EDM producers aren't the biggest fans (At least that's how I see it)
