This week's review goes to "Noises" by Archie-harris-milnes9313 - a trap beat made from our Starter Kits that's so well arranged it's a perfect base to be personalized further. Today I'll give some input on how you can personalize this track even more.

(1/5) Sound Check Feedback on "Noises" by Archie-harris-milnes9313:

• For someone who just joined Soundation one month ago, there’s no question you have a good ear and a great sense of music!

• The intro works fine but instead of slowing down at 0.49 I’d go for another round. On that round, I would choose a bass from the Wubmachine to add an extra layer of deepness. If it's your first time using a virtual instrument, don't be scared. Try it out.

(2/5) Sound Check Feedback on "Noises" by Archie-harris-milnes9313:

• The synth sound that leads up to 1.00 can be improved with a bit of automation.

• Try adding effects like reverb and delay on that channel and play around with their respective automation lanes. You could also try to pan it back and forth a bit just to keep listeners engaged.

(3/5) Sound Check Feedback on "Noises" by Archie-harris-milnes9313:

• At 1.17, a new theme is introduced. That’s all fine but then it goes away and another new theme is introduced. I think a new theme comes in slightly too fast. I’d repeat the first theme once more before taking the track into a new direction.

• If you choose to repeat the first theme once more, adding a new element on top of that could be useful. I recommend using a synth pad from the GM-2 Synth for this.

(4/5) Sound Check Feedback on "Noises" by Archie-harris-milnes9313:

• The overall sound quality in the mix is already really good. However, I would play a bit with Parametric EQ and compression on the drums. To add depth around the end, try adding effects like reverb on the vocals.

• Something I really miss is a deep sub bass which is really common in trap. I would look up a sub bass, once again in the Wubmachine. Subs make wonders!

(5/5) Sound Check Feedback on "Noises" by Archie-harris-milnes9313:

• To develop your arranging skills further, check out other trap songs and follow their structure. You’ll soon find out that you can easily become a master of arrangements. Keep the tracks coming!

This week's review goes to "Top of the World" by JosHakam - a dreamy slice of melodic escapism made without any audio loops! Check out my feedback on the production below.

(1 of 3) Sound Check Feedback on "Top of the World" by JosHakam:

• The intro part feels a bit dry in my opinion. I’d add reverb with a long tail here to capture listeners' attention.

• The long notes that starts at 0.16 could benefit from some side chain (or fakie here on Soundation) to get the atmosphere a bit more dynamic.

• At 0.32 try adding a deep bass. It would add another level of richness to the composition!

(2 of 3) Sound Check Feedback on "Top of the World" by JosHakam:

• Instead of slowing down at 0.51, I would go for another round as well as introducing a new element like melodies.

• The snare sound at 1.28 caught me completely off guard. It could stay, but I suggest you lower the volume so the mix is more balanced.

• The same part above could also have a pad or perhaps an arpeggio in it to spice things up a bit.
