This week's review goes to "C418 - Sweden (Croissant Remake)" - A wonderful remake of Minecraft's ambient soundtrack which proves that sometimes you don't need much to express yourself musically.

(1/4) Feedback on "C418 - Sweden (Croissant Remake)"

• The intro is great. Try not to pan the string pad, at least not so much in the intro. It makes sense to pan it later on since there are more elements involved.

• The swoosh sound leading up the the beats is just perfect. I’d most probably do the same tbh.

(2/4) Feedback on "C418 - Sweden (Croissant Remake)"

• When everything all kicks in at 0.33, maybe you can add some sub tones here and there just to phatten things up. Check the Wub Machine for those sub sounds.

• The beat works fine with the rest. But to turn it up a notch, try adding a more spacious reverb to the snare.

(3/4) Feedback on "C418 - Sweden (Croissant Remake)"

• I know you want to keep it minimalistic but I would consider adding some single piano tones from the GM-2 at 0.55. Then drench them in reverb and preferably also some delay.

• The round that start at 1.06 could benefit from another layer of pads or perhaps something arpeggiated. Try it!

(4/4) Feedback on "C418 - Sweden (Croissant Remake)"

• The harmonies are great and I love that extra twist at the end. The mixing between the elements involved works fine as well.

• All in all a sweet and very musical little piece. Nice work. This would work magic in Minecraft!

(1/4) Feedback on "C.L.X"

• To fit the vibes you're going for, you can try to start with a lower tempo. The trick is when it switches to 118 BPM, your track will go off with a bang.

• The dryness is perfect in the beginning but try fixing the lower frequencies a bit.

• The kick is slightly too short imo. Maybe find some chill 808-style kicks instead, but with a punch in the beginning. You can work with the eq and compressor to achieve that.

(2/4) Feedback on "C.L.X"

• Pro tip: If the kick has its ”whip”, it doesn’t have to be so loud. Lower the volume on that one and treat a sub bass line. Check the tuning so the kick drum and the bass line don't use the same frequencies. Master this and you'll get those "pro" sounds.

• Great choice of vocals, but use compressor, chorus and EQ to make them more polished and crystal clear.
