That's not what I meant at all by listening, kid. There is audience listening and musician listening. Audience listening is listening mindlessly to Metallica. Musician listening is, like during a concert, making sure you are blending in, fitting in and/or playing out when you are supposed to, or, in composition, paying careful attention to how you or someone else is crafting a piece. In other words, audio attention-to-detail. You pick things up from musician listening that you would never get from just regular listening. I guess it doesn't make much sense, but it does to me, so wth. xD
