you can use chordchord to help you arrange chords and make melodies based off chords. its what i use to help me out alot. im putting together a playlist of educational videos i found geared towards edm, techno, dubstep, hardstyle, trap, etc. the link will be in my bio when i get a decent bit added. learning to make music the way you want takes plenty of time (unless you're just ultra naturally gifted and raised by musical parents who passed all their knowledge and skill to you), so just keep pushing and you could very well become the next musical genius. i have faith in you bro :)
this is just a rough rule that i use on here for maximum limits. remember to scale the volume of certain parts on your channels to compliment the other parts of its self and other channels. when you're editing the midi strip, look in the top left corner of the midi editor and you'll see a button that looks like a cellular signal symbol (third button), you can change the volume of each note independently or how ever many notes you select. its how you can make something sound like its fading in or make it alternate between light hits and hard hits etc.
try filtering your highs down and adding in some mids to bring more balance. since i see you labeled it as deathstep, try adding a bit of grime and use 150-160 bpm. i also see you're using a free account so a bit of a tip i can give is using the parametric equalizer to help you figure out whats to high or low. on the complete track 20-200hz under +20db. 200-1khz under +10db. 1k-2khz under +5db. 2k-5khz unde 0db. 5khz and onwards unders -5db.
btw this is not my finished song i want feedback and want to see if i cant do a little better here so plz give feedback so i can remake it for the start from scratch challenge and possibly win
