P.S. Assigning someone a melody doesn't mean you would have to do the entire melody. There are many different things that can make a melody, not just a single instrument playing a simple melody but many other sub melodic instruments i.e subtle choir vocals, secondary melodies that have a lot of sustian (brass, strings etc). Same goes for basically everything in the song. Anyone collabing can add whatever they want. The idea is that each person would get assigned a certain focus in the song to insure each user gets to make a valuable contribution to the song.
this satisfying relief in tension that gets built up from other snares with very low reverb/release values. For basslines kyptik, Oozie and Loe should all work together on it. Even if one of you guys finishes a pattern by yourselves there is still more room for work, i.e. Pattern variation, varation, transition bassline etc. KyrptiK or Oozie should do hats. I don't feel like that needs much explaining. Royal would mix and master for obvious reasons...
so (The time it takes for me to find a melody I am happy with ranges from instantaneous light bulb moments to the time it took the Japanese to surrender in WWII). I would think it wise to assign both Royal and Oozie to work on a kick seeing as Royal is extremely good at mixing kicks and Oozie is aware of the waveforms of kicks which helps when mixing kicks with subs to prevent clipping (Which works better then I thought it would cuz I've tried it myself). I think kyptiK would be a beast with snares as he has the technique where he has one snare/clap instrument with high reverb play to add-
Hey so I have some ideas for what we could do to organize how a collab between the five of us would work out. For the melody I think we could assign Kryptik, Oozie, Yung Loe, or maybe myself. Royal, I left you out because you melodies always seemed to be a bit on the simple side while kryptiK and Oozie are pretty damn good with chords and more intricate melodies. Yung Loe's melodies are pretty simple too but he uses diverse sounds and timings with his melodies. As for myself I would be willing to do a melody but I'm not that confident in my ability to compose one without taking 30 years to do-
