vvvv I get that it's easier to do with the online translators, I am just wondering if the task was intentionally painful :3

...a hex code flickers, & when you translate it you get a link extension, that gets you rickrolled again because turns out you translated the wrong code. Until you finally get to the FINAL ending. & this is basically kept as a score. A month later a video was posted of a leaderboard of people who made it to the last ending.

But the amount of random videos and rickrolls though. You can get regular rickrolled, french rickrolled, even English-Japenese Ukelele cover rickroll. & many don't know of this because they're already satisfied with the amount of work put into the base animation.

Well the existence of online translators helps.

I recall there's a youtube video where it already works as a stand alone animation story, but an easter egg points you to a hidden annotation that gives an alternate ending, but in that alternate ending there's another annotation for another ending, then yet another, except this time you get rick rolled. So you have to scour a several minute ending for annotations taking you to random videos until you find the next part, a maze of several mini videos with annotation doors, until you get to a part, a video where...

Oh lel I didn't read that obviously, at least I got 3/4, I don't know why someone would go through the headache of making this trickery

I just described the whole process, and it's supposed to lead to "guten tag". "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog" is usually a font tester since it features every letter. Notice you have the same amount of numbers as letters in "guten tag" (space included). Then its just ascii hex to text. Basically 'a" starts on 61, 'b' 62, etc. And I guess 20 is the space. So you almost had it.

I finally got it, I copied and pasted the numbers into google so that it could help me and what you posted says "The quick brown 🦊 jumps over 13 lazy 🐶." Was it worth all the effort? I don't know, but I'm still proud of myself even though in a real sense the internet did all the work for me by automatically translating this stuff
