My only advice is to look at the song as a layered thing. It is not about putting one melody after the other. You need to start somewhere: a beat, a melody, then build from there trying to generate a mood, an emotion. Usually, the easier way to start a song is to lay a simple beat, then a bass base, then try to fit a catchy melody over it, just for practice.
As Noah, said, the 00:49 part is supergood. To improve the chords I recommend you to look at a scale chart to harmonize the different notes between them. Start with something simple, maybe 2 notes chords, then add more notes.
lastly youll wanna end with ur base melody. i hope this can help u improve. this has great potential tho. plus u just started yesterday thats crazy!! i was complete garbage when i first started lmao, but if u need any help on anything just pm me ill be happy 2 help
i say try to use different sounds because some of soundations sounds are cheapy and garbage lol. anyway, then try to make a counter melody that complements the previous melody. from there u wanna try to add some drums, u did add drums but they didnt continue very long. after that u should add a subtle bass for something like this(if ur making trap the bass may need to be a little louder). then once u got all ur sounds down u have to alternate using sounds such as soloing out the drums or melody or even adding odd pauses in some places so the beat doesnt get repetitive.
