Allen says it just right :P Your mixing could use some work as far as getting the basses and chords more stereod. But you are on the right track. This is awesome!
Here's some advice: make the snare have a lot of punch. Instead of a short, quiet shot, have it dominate the track. In regards to the kick, I love the style, it just needs more bass and low mid to it as it lacks a certain thump.
