Yes I understand. Call it trap if you'd like. But at least consider how broad of a genre trap is.

I chose this track bc it was in my feed lol, I would criticise other users if I felt that they would take my feedback and learn from it. 999Shadows is a special case bc One he doesn't apply genres to most of his music and Two he very much knows what he's doing, and he doesn't need my advice (not that you don't, you've got skills) I don't h8. Basically the genre you put triggered my music OCD lol

You make a fair point, but trap has evolved into multiple newer genres, such as what's considered future trap, carnival trap, and hybrid trap. So yes, technically this is trap, but it's one of the sub-traps that came from hip hop, rather than a modern trap that evolved from those sub-traps, which I'm pretty sure is what Soundation is referencing. Most trap is not modern hip hop, and I understand this is technically trap, but I don't feel that this genre of trap falls under its own name, if that makes sense.

So all in all, trap is modern Hip-Hop. Why do u even spend the time to criticise the genre of music even though it's right? And why my track? I dont see you trippin on R.D3s tracks, or 999shadows tracks. Seems like i got me a h8r lmao

Not really no, bc trap is a sub genre of hip-hop from the late 1990s. Trap is modern hip-hop, its gotten to the point that R&B is closer to traditional Hip-Hop than trap, with the electric bass, usualy the boom bap beat and unique melodies. Trap is very electronic while Hip-Hop clings to older instruments, this track is in fact.... TRAP! (Tokyo trap to be precise) : D
