experiment with different instruments, trap doesnt have to be just a strong 808 bass and some bells. include pianos, synths, and sometimes you can forget the bass if you have a strong enough melody. and make counter melodies to spice things up, im almost every track i make i have around 2 to 3 counter melodies to keep things interesting
