vtd
Hi everyone. http://soundation.com/user/vtd/track/game-of-life Here is a sonification attempt of Conway's Game of life (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conway's_Game_of_Life for details). The patterns in MIDI editor reminded me of cells in cellular automation, so I picked 5 chords from the lecture about tuning, wrote them down, draw the same pattern in Life runner and carefully converted every subsequent step of Life from cells to MIDI notes. A harpsichord is chosen, because it was used in Bach's time, when the modern tuning system began to develop and a clock is a play on "Life" name.
