Complete the Track Contest: Progressive House
Winner announcements!
Wow! 87 firetastic submissions.
Let’s get straight to it PETE, what’s the verdict?
Well I’ll be damned if there’s been a better arsenal of submissions in a single contest. You guys made my job of judging incredibly difficult, the level was insane!
Honorable mentions
Now, before we look at who’s taken the podium, let’s give a hand to some honorable mentions:
Hyphen sorry to break the streak bro, this judging thing ain’t easy and it’s not thanks to you lol. Your production was exceptional but the execution wasn’t there for me. Keep stirring up the great tunes man:)
Missiony damn, what a good remix. You had a great vibe going and the sound design was mint, but the production and execution were missing some zest.
Okie dokie then. Podium time!
The Podium
First place – 4xharley
Congratulations to:
It’s an honor to say that in first place we have: 4xharley. When somebody comes along and submits a song like this, I feel guilty that all you get as reward is a 1st place title. Then I remembered that you also get epic prizes. This song was first place in my heart before I even heard any other submissions, and it stayed that way up until now. Production? Astounding. Execution? Who needs to make a pre-drop fill anyway? Vibe? It’s a heckin’ vibe! Thanks for this masterpiece and congratulations on getting your first feature:)
Second place – Aikue
Congratulations to:
GAAAAHHH TRIIIIPLEEEEETS!!!!! Bro, what a banger. What. A. Banger! This has to be the best of the legendary buzz songs yet, with the brilliant execution and exceptional production. The sound design was pretty sick, but those high ends hurt at parts. Overall, amazing job bro! Alrighty then. I think we all saw this coming.
Third place – Hxppy
Congratulations to:

Maybe, instead of just the total number of plays and likes, pick whoever has the best ratio of the two? Like, if you get ten plays and six likes, you have a 6/10 score, the best possible being 10/10. I mean, there are still flaws to this, spam-playing someones track for one to ruin the ratio, it's not perfect, but this way everybody is on even ground rather than big users having an advantage over smaller users, right? 6 likes/10 plays is equal to 60 likes/100 plays, so bigger fanbase won't mean anything.

@ShaBuki I guess I'm just into an older style than we use nowadays then. Of course, I DO listen to smooth jazz and blues along with the songs we make, but still, I don't always like the stuff on Soundation. I appreciate the musicianship and skill it takes, the professionalism and such, but a good portion of these songs aren't my style, that's all.
DUTCH
Csi banned you because you did wrong. Its not "for some reason" you know that damn well yourself
ShaBuki
so the link to send the sng file isnt working for me, anyone have any idea why that is?
elemental.
Dang it
I Awake
Hey guys. Just to clarify how this will work. The team here will go through all tracks sent in to us for consideration. So far we have received two sng files.

@Unique Stereotype yes!!!! i bot my own tracks, just to study the way my automation effects the waveform (whether my filter cutoff is obvious and shit) and @Oceantide of course its completely subjective, i personally wouldn't say the musics gone downhill. people like trillan, chromeclouds and slocm3z make shit i never thought were possible with this site.
elemental.
Just an idea, but the Soundation community should form a kinda Soundation police. Y'know, to petition to ban trolls, help get noobs that don't know where to post to the right place, and help settle BIG arguments before they become a problem. Again, just an idea.
ChordsBoy
Yup, not to mention that I Awake said that he would consult the team about the extra tracks, and still nothing has been done about them :/

I remember those times. I had an account five years ago, under a different name, back when the Chorme Studio didn't exist, and then it was a beta, and then blah blah blah... My point is that I agree , this site has gotten not as awesome as it was. I still like it, it's an easy to use platform for music-making, it all makes sense to me, but the music isn't as good as it once was, either. It might be I'm just a fan of the older stuff. I don't know. I'm out of this competition too, nobody is taking it seriously except the mature ones in the group, it was ruined by the immature children. Out.
