you want to put para eq on everything (or just about) to remove any unwanted frequencies, you may not be able to hear them, but they can combine and make a track muddy. that way you maintain the sounds you want without them getting ruined by these frequencies. Helps filter out high rings that may be irritating to the ear, or basses too low to hear but could still induce headaches/muddle the stuff above.
