Thanks man, i thought that was how and then i tried it with my track that im working on but my instruments hit too hard for it to sound backwards so i'll definitely try it on my other tracks.
It sounds backwards because the instrument has a LOT of attack. It's the simple preset swell 02. I just took the notes used from the melody and tried to get it to sound like a record playing backwards. So ya. I think a key part is having attack. Hope this helped and glad you enjoyed this!
Ya. its the bright yamaha grand piano with a low pass filter at 118hz cutoff and 100% resonance.
it also has reverb with wet dry and width at 100%. damp at 56% and size at 77%.
