Thx Dan :D Im learning a little Music Theory in my Piano class, and im mainly taking Piano bc i have to or i cant take Music Theory. And An Example of oblique motion if you dont know what it is, listen to Intergalactic being 2's piano. The measures with that one note staying the same in the 'chorus' is what Oblique means. ;)

Contrary motion is moving the notes down one direction and up the other. I've used these concepts before but I've never actually heard them names like this, but then again I've never studied piano. Just take the bass notes and have them walk down in quarter notes or something and have the melody move up in 8th notes. Glad to see you're learning theory, and glad to see you're studying piano a bit! :D
