You really did capture the feel of this contest to a tee. The chord progression is just mmmMMM there are no words for how juicy it is. You actually achieved the same kind of feel I was going for in the contest! I guess great minds think alike! I wish you the best of luck, but be warned, I'm not gonna be holding anything back. <3
The drop synth itself almost seems to have no high end at all, making the rest of the track feel out of place and mudded out.
Now let's talk about that snare. Absolutely, way, way too much compression, it sounded like the snare had a fakie on it (lol). The reverb was pretty good though, really added to the feel of the track.
The bridge is actually really cool, and a really creative use of the automation on the delay, I don't really think I've ever heard anyone use it that way before. It is a tad awkward to listen to if you don't really know whats going on.
Get ready for some feedback cuz I'm about to lay it on you.
I was looking through all the tracks posted to the contest and this one immediately caught my attention with the smooth intro and stellar chord progression. The sound design in the intro was really on point save for the melody that comes in at about 21 seconds. You probably could've highpassed the intro chords a tad more to make room for the other melody. They both have tons of mid in them and thus clash pretty hard.
In fact, the feedback about "too much mid" can really apply to the rest of the track as well, (cont.)

I think the snare is too compressed in the drop, otherwise beautiful track.

I'm getting a lot of space vibes from this. I really like this song!
