Things I want to emphasize that I like: Your melody. It's really interesting and creative. Hearing this took me by surprise. I really like your snare. It's punchy and stands. I like your hats. I like the pauses you put in the song. I like how you arranged the different tracks to make give different feels. (Example being, you taking out the snare in a certain part while leaving the kick, hat, melody, etc) I like the periodic octave jumping in the melody. Changing the octave in the melody gives it two seperate feelings. This beat is fucking stylish. Keep this shit up.

I honestly quite like this. I didn't know you were going for old school style till I read your comment. Not saying thats a bad thing because of how arbitrary you went with the kick and hat pattern, because I honestly think it's better. I like how arbitrary yet natural this song feels. The rhythm and vibe of everything in this song fits together pretty much perfectly. I think you made a good decision with not trying to make the focus on the bass. Not every song needs an overpowering bass when in-fact, and exaggerated bass can ruin most songs.
