There is also people like Bass4rog and cyberbit, who are waaaayyy better then the majority of people ahead of them. But why arent they? I have not seen a single spam message or comment from Either of them. Dont get me wrong many of the people on top users have earned the position they are in, (yes you audial) but a lot of them get more than they deserve. And no were not full of ourselves, were basically the "celebrities" of soundation ( kinda contradicted myself there but whatever) and we dont always have the time to help every single person who asks

Now see backbonez knows exactly what hes talking about. But being honest here speaking as one of the so called "popular users" or "top users" none of us would be anywhere without little spam, all your arguments have valid points. But seriously it semms like the game of soundation isnt as much about talent as it is the number of people and groups you spam. There are quite a few people including myself that in no way on earth deserve the position they are in. And then theres people like Underscored_, and Kracked Ekho (to name a few) that arent even on top users.

What i reccomend is take your time on a track, learn to use the instruments in the studio, keep practising until you cant learn anymore from yourself, then ask google, then start asking the communityonce you need to. Thats how i learned a lot of things on this site. Hope this somewhat helps :)

Sorryto jump in on this rant, but i know most people in the top users section constantly help newer menbers and are happy to help (including me) but yes, it does get very, very annoying daily getting requests from 5+ people that need the help. If it's theory you want to learn then http://www.basicmusictheory.com/ is helpful for the basics. This is how i learned simple keys, scales and stuff and then this is helpful for other things www.thewhippinpost.co.uk Lastly, a little spam isn't too bad but reading the "Check my track" over and over gets so tedius very quickly and so does constant inboxes

I've been wanting to learn how to play piano for that specific reason, to get better at melodies and keys. Thanks Audial.

There is a limit to what you can learn from the community, we can help with tips on mixing and synth design but everything else is pretty purely much self taught

Ok sure I see what you mean, I had formal music theory tuition so that was a great basis for me to start music production. If there is one thing you should do to help your production it is to have a go at learning some music theory, this can be done using youtube tutorials or by paying for tuition from a local music teacher, learning the piano is also exceptionally useful. Just learning to play a few songs will allow you to have better knowledge of keys/scales, melodies harmonies and rhythms.

No audial, i dont think "The popular users" are full of themselves, only most. and you are right. but only a handful of artists actually do help but that's not all the time though. and you also right about not getting paid, you do this because you love it. and you're again right about everybody being in that position, but can you tell me how users like me can learn without a teacher? because the odds of me getting help are not in my favor. And thank you for suggesting options for me to help with my music.

Otherwise just keep trying, get involved with the community in other ways than spamming, try making friends, try using the hangout with your new found friends, learn from each other, check out andreas tips n tricks group. My music theory group has a few .sng files for you to have a look at and get ideas from. Kracked Echo has a "Soundation's Instrument School" group that you can ask for help in. Spamming a link to your track isn't going to benefit you or anyone else. it is your responsibility for your own progress, don't blame other people.

You are being unfair, do you think the users you are talking to weren't in the position where they were just starting? everyone was in that position but they didn't spam on pages like this, you don't get support by spamming all day, you need to earn respect and followers not ask for them. One way of doing this is by entering competitions, you will be noticed if you make decent music.
