And i know somebody has probably sad this before but People listen to mainstream music for a reason.....

your drop hits still kinda hard but it still feels more like progressive house

@Crescendo i would define it as progressive house cause what i have heard from it,it has a kinda more melodic heavy vibe witch is good. And progressive stuff is often played at festival. Cause electro its often a bit harder than progressive cause most of electro tracks are big room now days so would not consider your track as electro more as progressive house:)

@Crescendo it sounds like some kind of electro house, you could probably enter it? I'd wait to check with Cal though :)

Following up on what @Cal said: Every single genre out there is disliked by someone, the best thing you can do is be able to appreciate every genre and know what makes a track in that genre good even if you don't necessarily enjoy it. I have two tracks on beatport, it would make me really sad if someone hated the genre of both of them enough to refuse to listen to or buy the track. Following up on what @Xephyr said: I've been jamming to Tremor by Martin Garrix for a while and actually been listening to some bigroom tracks recently :P

Hey..I was just wondering if I could possibly enter in this track. https://soundation.com/user/CrescendosProfile/track/over-the-horizon I don't know if it really fits in..
Xephyr
Hell, I think Secret Dance by Milky Chance is a great song, and it went mainstream.

Yeah I don't get that just because something is mainstream, it's considered bad. There's a lot of good mainstream music out there.
Calum Hood
These producers making these tracks are up there for a reason, you can't sit there and say they have no talent. Maybe if people stopped criticising and being generally negative to genres they don't like and spent that time and effort making their own music they would get somewhere. It's mainstream because a lot of people do like it, so if you don't like the genres that much then don't bother entering.
Xephyr
Work on yourself first. I don't try to beat other people, or blame them for winning. I do contests to better myself and my music.
