... which is a portmanteau of gitfiddle and cornholio (Beavis' sugar-jacked alter ego from 'Beavis and Butthead'). Toni Iommi and Randy Rhoads were the biggest reasons I started playing guitar; Richard Thompson and Jimi are two of the biggest reasons I continue.

Howdy. Currently hanging my hat a hair west of Chicago. I've been playing guitar since my dad, who played country and jazz piano semi-professionally, tricked me into paying for guitar lessons with my paper route money when I was a wee lad of 13. I still play and sing, mostly at open mics, but I've occasionally been able to book a gig under my own name, and even get paid sometimes, which puts me under the umbrella of semi-professional as well.
