Thanksgiving was alright I guess. Kinda slept until the afternoon, and basically worked on this track most of the time aside from dinner. Food was fine, though despite not having eaten much beforehand, only really had room for 1.5 plates. A few family members were just getting over stomach aches the past week, so they didn't have much either. Plenty of leftovers. Basically it was just my parents, siblings, my brother's girlfriend, and my niece.
Thanks. It happened by accident but it was too cool to remove. I initially planned to make the change from E major to F major, because I was thinking that would make playing sax on it easier, but that would be too showoffy, and I don't really find time to play/record in peace, and figured it wouldn't exactly fit. Nonetheless I had a key change planned, and that part in the middle felt like a good place to do it to break up the pattern, but nope, it became minor, and after working with it, decided to go that route and had to eventually work it towards the relative C# major.
Thanks. And I appreciate the cover art compliment. Generally the cover art takes 1-3 casual hours (some of that time may be spent font hunting or simply staring at it). I basically took the image Katze provided and did some layering/colorization effects, and then made a cyan gradient beam and gave it a dents effect. Did similar layering to the text after scouring for a design, and added shadows and crystal effect.
I was honestly worried it wouldn't captivate the song as a whole due to the tone change, but after staring at it n stuff, I think it turned out alright.
