Well first of all, I played the songs at the same time. Same progression, same synth, same tempo (if not then, slightly altered.) Listen to the strings type synth that stays the same note in the beginning. The exact same in both tracks. At around 00:50, the main synth carrying the melody is the exact same as the synth carrying the melody in the beginning of the original. Exact rhythm too. Now yeah, it sounds similar to me, but I'm not gonna take SLOCM3Z's side. i just noticed it too. That's what i meant
Then please, Gage, tell me what is similar besides the chord progression. That's the only similarity. No melodies, no sound design, just the chord progression. You should be more focused on my track if "it's more than the chord progression that sounds similar."
It's more than the chord progression that sounds similar. Besides, I just reported it for someone, because I have the balls to do so. If it was just the chord progression, then I wouldn't be here. Because I have songs that use common chord progressions. You can't really escape using one.
@[3301] Gage: I asked him to prove it, he showed his evidence, and I believe that the stated evidence is not grounds for an argument like this. You're telling me I'm not allowed to make a counter-argument to refute the stated evidence. His claim was never proven by posting that track, it only made a claim. I'm here in defense of the artist, and that's that.
@[3301] Gage: All I'm saying is that you're blowing this way out of proportion. The songs are not too much alike. If you're going to be a hardass about this, report my track too. I'm not kidding. Contact IAwake and tell him my featured track sounds too much like "Far Away."
Also, you can't say SLOCM3Z is ridiculous if you're the one who told him to prove it. You asked, and in return, he gave. (And I qoute, "@SLOCM3Z I'd love to see you prove that.") My counselor once told me, "Defending a point before you even state what your point is, is a bad social skill. It makes people wanna walk away from you. "
If you think this is copied, then report my track, Gradient, for having the same chord progression as the Inception score. Chord progressions aren't trademarked people.

Gage you're digging yourself a deeper hole here...

But you are in support of his claim! SLOCM3Z's entire claim is "the songs sound too similar."

I'm in no support of SLOCM3Z's claim, the songs just sound too similar to me. (All about perception). All I did was take it to IAwake. Let him decide.
