Each month I’m going to release an experimental track, and I want you guys in this group to make the best track in that genre. I will display the rules of the genre and the group below.
This month’s genre – “Melodic Trap” The rules for making “Melodic Trap” are as follows.
Any BPM between 110 and 120.
Kick on the first beat, snare on the 3rd.
Lots and lots of hats (but try to keep it to the one hat, rather than layered hats).
S**t loads of reverb on the drums.
Optional genre rules.
Try to keep it dark.
Scoring Rules.
You can upload only one track to this group each month, and that will get given a score out of 30.
Each scoring variable can give you anything between 0 and 10 points towards that perfect 30, including half points.
0-5/30 = Getting there.
6-10/30 = Almost.
11-15/30 = Good try.
16-20/30 = Well done.
21-25/30 = Very good job.
26-30/30 = Exceptional.
Scoring Variables.
How original is the song?
How well made is the song?
How well does it fit into the genre?
If you get into the top 10 highest scores your track will go into the final and all others will be deleted.
Group rules.
One track per person.
No saying “V0t 4 mh trk plz” in the final or I’ll kill you and kick you and I’ll pick someone else to take your place.

This sounds pretty fun. Lets say in the future when the finale is over and the winner gets chosen, when the next months' genre is in play again will the deleted members be put back on to try again next month?

Ok then...

@elizalde There you go. :) (My humour is quite a bit different to other people's. I was joking, but hey ho, there are always gonna be those people that have to suck the joy out of everything. :P)
Foresight
@Jubblett could you change the titles for 0-5 and 6-10? I don't find it appropriate to put people down like that.

I Posted :D

Nevermindthat.

Can you raise the bpm requirements?
Jubblett
@Xephyr No, Fizik just uploaded a short song (1:51, to be exact) and I've given that all the markings. As long as you can fit the required fields in (so an intro and at least 1 drop) you can still get a perfect 30.
Xephyr
does it need to be a full song? because i aint got time for that.
Jubblett
Thanks guys! I thought this would be a good idea. It's a little problematic for me though. Every month I have to invent an experimental genre. Gonna be tough, but oh well. :P
