Welcome to the Soundation Community Tournament! CONTEST CLOSED This is an annual tournament that celebrates the community. This tournament is a way for the soundation community to show off what they have done in the time that they have been here. This is a overall show off of how far soundation has come. While this is a contest you should also keep in mind that this is to promote Soundation as a whole! GOLDEN RULE This contest is meant to showcase Soundation and the community. You will not be warned so consider this rule your ONLY warning. POOR SPORTSMANSHIP WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. YOU WILL BE KICKED FROM THE GROUP, YOUR TRACK REMOVED, AND DISQUALIFIED IF YOU ARE CAUGHT, WITHOUT WARNING! RULES This contest will be divided into three phases: Join phase, Submission phase (when you will submit your track), and vote phase (which will determine this year's contest winners). -YOUR TRACK MUST BE ORIGINAL. NO COVERS OR REMIXES (sorry, late call :) ) -You may only use Soundation Studio to produce your track. you may only submit ONE track. -Your track must be at least three (3) minutes in duration. No limit this year (but please be mindful) -If you choose to use loops and samples you may only use the loops and samples provided by Sounadation in the Sound library or the sound shop. This goes for all types of pre made loops and samples (like vocals). -You may import vocals only if they were made by you. If you want to use pre made vocal samples they can only come from Soundation. Use of VOCALOID and/or UTAU is absolutely permitted (and encouraged) in this case. -You must tell which sound packs you used, if any, in the track description. VOTING IS OPEN! PHASE all times in EST (Eastern Standard Time) Join Phase Begins February 1st, Ends March 4th Submission Phase Begins February 16th, Ends March 1st Vote Phase Begins March 1st, Ends March 6th at 11pm In the event of a tie the voting period will extend until 9pm EST March 7th Winners announced on March 7th RESULTS 1st Place: Cyclosa (YOU GET A HAPPY STICKER :D) 2nd Place: Crescendo (YOU GET A HAPPY STICKER TOO!!) 3rd Place: Lost dutchmen, JACOB, and Visualz (AND A HAPPY STICKER FOR YOU :D) Everyone else (YOU ALL GET HAPPY STICKERS :D )

We are back! Yes! Finally the contest is starting again. The guidelines are: 1) NO REMIXES. You must make every single part of the song in soundation. Vocals are allowed but only if you record them your self. No remixes no remakes and if i catch you using a midi file or sng file, you WILL be disqualified immediately. 2) You can post up to 5 songs, and i encourage you to do it! This is going to be a large contest! 3) DO NOT ADVERTISE. No advertising. Do not say you have posted your song or put a link in the comments. If you want to advertise use messaging. 4) NO SONGS YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE. All of the songs you post must have been made after September 30th, 2014. 5) COLLABS ARE PERMITTED. Go ahead. Do it. ________________________________________ Now. To go over time. SEPTEMBER 30th - November 30th ________________________________________ This is how the winner will be chosen. I will browse through each and every song. The ones i like will be given THE NOD. The Nod is just my way of giving kudos. So...... I cant participate....awwwwww.....BECAUSE I AM THE PRIZE! More on that later, after you get The Nod, you are NOT to tell another soul.......except one. And you must tell only one. You are not to tell others who you told about The Nod. Once you have told me who you have told, message me immediately. Then, i will choose 4 out of everyone. The ones with the most Nods and the most times they were told about others Nods. I intend to change that by helping those people get to grips with the basics, I will also be giving a few tips targeted at those who already have a good understanding and have to help really improve there musical depth, such as some really neat key changes (Key changes are barely used on soundation), chromaticism, blues notes, extended chords, countermelodies and many more, NEW!!!!: KRackEd EkHo had the idea of having a communal account so people can see the ideas of music theory for themselves as well as getting useful ideas. the user name is 'DusksMusicTheoryProgram@gmail.com' and the password is 'duskmusicuk' feel free to add new projects and test your ideas for others to see, I'll be putting a few things up for others to use and get ideas from. the only things you cannot do is delete projects, change the password or do anything on the community with this account, this account is purely for use in the studio. if anyone does otherwise the account will be shut down, so please obey by the rules.
