I mean I say you can still use loops, if you can find a way to be original with them. Sometimes I only use a loop percussion as a crutch when I can't figure out any drums, other times I try cutting loops into bits and/or stretching them, and another strategy is to carefully listen to a loop, and recreate the melody onto a MIDI with which then you can manipulate and change up the instrument, chord progression, or the melody itself.

loops arent terrible but try not to use them and be more original. if ur having trouble not using loops just pm me ill hapilly help
