@Joel Kearney That's the point of the genre (allegedly), just like how tropical house is supposed to consist of chopped up vocals and dubstep usually consists of wubs and growls.
You got to learn sequencing dude. These are just instruments that are put together at random places to make strange noises. If you're getting music tips from your brother, that isn't necessarily the best option (no offense). Ask someone like Dead Dave, Roix, Chordial, or myself even. We can give you some advice to make your music a WHOLE lot better :)
