Yeah, the Gorillaz were pretty popular around my high school days, so I remember them from then. It's sort of a similar influence of genres anyway. I couldn't find what I was thinking of at the time though, so maybe it's just the hip hop and electronica influence pulling me to that
I haven't seen the new Aladdin, so I have no idea. Maybe he just meant the structure of it or something? All good either way, we all see things from our own perspective sometimes
Thanks guys. @Noah: It kinda reminds me of the Gorillaz for some reason. Although, this genre isn't vocal based at all, that's what I was thinking. Might be off there though, haven't listened to them in a bit. Definitely wasn't thinking of Aladdin, but that's an interesting angle. Appreciate the feedback guys!
