Contrast

The difference between order and chaos is determined by the sacrifice two sides of something are willing to make in order to reach a solution. This applies to science, politics, and of course music. Order is a result of compromise, chaos is a result of a lack of compromise. Things fall in to place only when two contrasting sides of a viewpoint or situation are able to come to a conclusion. There is almost always a middle ground; it is only found through the compromise of two contrasting concepts
