Everyone who's great in the world has their own problems and not a single one has a fairy tale life filled with nothing but happy memories. Music isn't music if it lacks even one emotion. For even the happiest songs have sadness in them.
Man, that sucks. Sry about your family. My parents have been divorced since I was little but that just means that I've never known a life with them together unlike you so you have my respect and condolences. But if it makes you feel better, we're kind of like your second family :) Don't give up hope, it'll be tough sometimes but you just have to steamroll through it.
