This probably isn't too surprising to hear at this point, but yeah, I've given up entirely. I always come up with amazing music in my head, but my production skills are too weak to recreate what I 'hear'. This is the end of the line for me.

I know the feeling of not having what you hear in your head, but your production skills are pretty fucking amazing

I know how you feel man, you have something amazing floating around in your head and when you get to the studio you can't put them down as you visioned. I understand it but that's no reason to quit man, just keep trying and trying until you get a melody you can work with even if it isn't how you imagined it. It takes a lot of time but you can do it if you have enough passion for it.
