Worked and manged some hip hop bands as I lived in england for 10 years, right around I luv u. I just think its real music and something that everyone can relate to. No bling and benz but rhymes and flows are what matter. Subject matter I believe is particularly right for America right now (2015). I just read a comment where someone said Stormzy's Shut Up would be good if was produced. First of all there had to have been post production and a fortunately grime artists can actually spit like they do on album...Most are better live. I've met Dizzee Rascal at the Mercury Music awards and saw the legends in clubs with like 500 people. It was a great time for grime. (i moved there like 1994 or 95) This new generation has got the ability to bring grime to a larger audience in my opinion. Boy In Da Corner, I know tons of people that hate it, but they just don't get it. This new generation is a lot less "marmite" than some of the legends stuff.
