To change the overlapping, you just hover your mouse over the bottom corners of the loops and you can shorten or lengthen them :)

You can do this by using the blue channels instead of the grey ones, you double click where it says "double click to create note clip" you can change the sound as well, this is a lot better than using premade samples as it is then your own music ;)
Try to get into not using premade samples and make your own ;)
