Everything about it just sounded incredibly nice. Congrats to Galaxian! In second place is Lettuce! I really liked how Lettuce changed a future bass track into a house track. I really liked it but I wish it was longer. In third place is KIINREZ. I really liked how the whole track was this cool chillout sort of thing with some of the original future bass sounds in it. Honorable Mention: Peaches. I really liked how she mixed the track and her own track to create something really cool. It was a little messy but it deserves to be put on the list. Congratulations to the winners! 🥉 =3rd Place: Aephyr & HEX's remix - I could not choose an absolute 3rd place unfortunately, but I like how both were tailored to a more trap style whilst maintaining the tropical vibes we all love, so well done gentlemen. 🥈 2nd Place: Moist's Remix - I like how Moist touched on the more chill aspect of the original and built it into his very own lo-fi spice! I also particularly placed this remix at 2nd because of the art cover - a truly magnificent masterpiece! :) 🥇 1st Place: Nate's Remix? 🤔🤔 Now now everyone, no need to act so surprised. Nate's remix is unarguably the best remix (and might I add), one of my favourite dubstep tracks across the entire community! His remix basically sums up S.A.U.C.E and more! My favourite element of this song was the sound design and the chord progression! But to be fairly honest, I cannot fault it in anyway, so well done Nate :) Special Mention: Sonaris' Remix Although this song was not intended for the comp, I still think it deserves the credit, and would've been a decent competitor in the running. Winners should expect their prizes to come through in this coming week, but once again, thank you to everyone for your support and your efforts!

After an intense round of judging, we have our top tracks! 🥇 First Place - "Sirens Call" by reptilian (81 Points) A beautifully arranged piece with an incredible blend of elements and sound selection. The GameBoy-style pulse sound gives it a classic VGM feel, and the escalation riff is masterfully done. The subtle samplerate reduction adds a polished touch that makes this track feel like a true boss battle theme. Brings me straight back into the boss fights from Cyberpunk, but would fit into nearly any game 🥈 Second Place - "Void Space" by DUTCH (80 Points) This track is a complete and coherent composition with a super smooth mix. The balance of variation and structure makes it feel game-ready. It's clear that DUTCHY, the legend, has a strong grasp of VGM production, delivering a track that sounds like it could be shipped straight into a game, and teleports me straight to the late 90s snowboard cross games. 🥉 Third Place - A Three-Way Tie! (76 Points Each) "FOUL" by ithoundrist - A thumping, bass-driven track with an intricate drum rhythm and excellent sound design. It gives off strong Japanese game vibes and has a powerful atmosphere. "Fallen Worlds" by reptilian - A track full of exaggerated bitcrushing effects, creating a "modern platformer" sound. Bonus points for keeping the Amen break alive! Wisp Planet Act 1 (DNB Remix)" by Polaris - A solid remix flexing impressive sound design. While it's a cover, it still absolutely nails the competition's theme. So, here are the rules: You are allowed to use any DAW you choose, but if you use Soundation, I will add an extra point to your score. You are limited to a single track! You can collaborate with 1 other person. The deadline is March 10th. (It may be extended if there is more time needed and/or for personal reasons.) That's literally all there is to it.
