It's been over a year now, and I STILL don't like this song, my own creation lol... I can envision what it would sound like if I had more time with this and done this in a different studio altogether, but it's the "how" that always get me... I've been working on not being so overcritical of my work (which prevents me from posting much) but this track, I just simply don't like it...
i honestly dont think people understand the complexity of that beat. thats a fucking swing beat. and to be able to play on top of that. dude. fuck yeah. this is real good. glad it won. the 3 minute mark has such a 90s feel. to be able to switch between so much, and keep it interesting and in time. this song is an A+. i also like that soaring synth in the back ground. if i werent done with music id wanna use that in a song.
Idk @outzyder. The instruments are really good and I like the change in rhythm although idk whether you added that or not. Sometimes too much editing can be bad for a song, and I think you added enough elements that IRS interesting but not too different from the original that its just right
If I'm being real with myself, it's really funny that my least proud accomplishment has gotten me featured... I really wished one of my other works were featured instead :( Is it wrong for me to feel this way?
I think you missed it, but somewhere soundation said they will now feature contest winners as well, so both tracks are staying. Hope that this clears things up.
