I said one bar long loops. Implying the drum loop is short and repetitive. I never said it was a bad thing to have loops in a song. A song without loops is just a random sequence of notes that follows no pattern. With no pattern you have no rythem. And with no rythem... Well then you have a bad song. Loops are essential, not horrible.

No, a bar is not a noteclip. a bar is a measure on the timeline that consists 4 beats. My drums on my newest song, and all my songs are 4 to 4, or 4 bars long.

Well what I'm saying is, you talkin' bout "hittin people up with these 1 bar drum loops" and you do it your self.

A drum pattern, not a drum loop. A drum pattern is an arrangement of 2 or more drum loops put in sequence. Every song has and needs loops. But when you use drums you want more then one loop for atleast the kick. The hihat can be optional depending on the tempo. Here is an example if what I said was hard wasn't very clear.
