But you don't need different sounds for different genres. You'll probably make one or two sounds and use them repeatedly in different genres. Example: Teminite The same/similar drums used in this song: https://soundcloud.com/drumstep/teminite-energize-edmcom-exclusive Are in this one! https://soundcloud.com/teminite/teminite-shockwave That's an 8 month difference too, and the too tracks are different genres. You don't really need to come up with sounds to use for a specific genre, you can do lots of layover!
Ez I know that :P I'm just trying to get the idea through of what drumstep kicks and snares sound like to me xD (well, what I would like them to sound)
You make a drum pattern from 165-175. (halftime) then you just fill in wubs. And you don't just compress your kicks and snares in drumstep, you compress your kicks in snares in every electronic genre imaginable. My snares and kicks are compressed in chill funky glitch hop, earth shaking trap, even groovy deep house. I always compress my kicks and snares
Sure Ez, @seftonate I use skill to make the drumstep drop :P (jk) basically a dubstep drop, then change the tempo to 160-180-something, then compress your kicks and snares to make a pbouu! sound :P (at least that is what it sounds like to me)
