The Places Behind Glass

The innocent or blinded person will step behind the colored glass thinking there is more good behind the lure. Then, even seeing the true form of the evil, they deny it as it slowly takes hold. And as they are consumed by it, they only see the good in the world. Then realization hits and all that is left is desperation and a single question: Can I Escape? A distant sound cries in reply but it is neither hopeful nor hopeless. I'm honestly not depressed, just inspired by the cruelty of the world
