That's what I'm saying. It doesn't always matter how many people you follow (like I said lol) and kudos Hiro, they usually stay when they know they have someone supporting them. And I wasn't trying to say your almost 300 followers (good job on that btw) are *just* because you followed them. Cause it's not like the amount of followers you have you don't deserve. I was just saying that when newer users come on and see HIROYO STARTED FOLLOWING YOU-FOLLOW BACK they usually press it cause they feel like they need to pay the favor back. You know? And @Shards I made that example with Kitchen Thug. -
@little hollow i feel like its more of making 'meta' music (for example, chromeclouds (oscar) followed like 3 people through his time on soundation but gained over 300 followers in about 2 years
@Key Lime, the reason you don't have as many as @Hiroyo is because he follows a lot of people who like to follow back. I'm not trying to be mean to @Hiro, but it's just that you follow what? 18 people? I mean, the amount of people you follow isn't always the reason you might have 300+ followers like @Kitchen Thug who only follows 13 people, but you can go follow like every active person as much as you can and you'll easily get a couple new followers every day.
I honestly don't know. Perhaps there are posting/sharing strats I'm not aware of? Would me being behind in followers also be a factor? HIROYO and I used to be at the same level until about the 70ish-80ish mark, then he just suddenly lifted off and skyrocketed to approaching 300, and here I am still not quite hitting the 100 mark yet.
I think it's because HIROYO posts more frequently and I post too many WIPs. I can't tell if people mind the WIPs or if they find it a nuisance for not being a full track, given that the response to them is, mundane and limited.
It's weird that you don't get as many likes as I do on some of your songs, like this one for example, has 11 less likes than my respective remix of the same song yet despite this one being cooler mine has more likes. Same with the song I made a remix challenge for.

I guess yours were better though, because they followed even less people than him.
