No I didn't use sound files, I don't really like using the loops now. I used a subtractive synth called massive! You should check it out, I recorded the main riff out of Massive (in my speakers).http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/products/producer/massive/ This is the website where I found out about this, I only used the demo (free) version.
