Wow, this is pretty fantastic! I would suggest toning down the phaser towards the middle just a bit, as it's pretty intense. I think you did amazing on the drums, just add a Heavy Electronic Drums compressor FX and tweak it a bit so they'll have more "oomph." The lead is really good, but in the final version the one or two little parts where two notes clash a bit should be ironed out. I'm really impressed by this! You're doing great! Oh, and yes, a simple bassline would make this song a song, given that you find a nice one. A melody isn't necessarily needed, but if you feel it is have at it!
