Thank you so much! The one thing I always do is use reverb, it adds something to the sound. I'm not one for samples, it feels like cheating, lol. Thanks for the tips and I'll begin experimenting more.
First of all, Loops are out of the question. Samples as well. Only use them if you're really stuck or you think they might work. Use Wub machine for sub and grime bass. Supersaw for chords (detune 4 sounds good). Staccato chords work well. Legion Told me to add reverb and eq everything. even if you don't want reverb, add it but set wet to about 10%. Check the 'learn' section for info on how the effects work. if you want more in-depth tips P.M me or any of the other people you mentioned.
