QL is correct but you dont wanna sidekick and 808 with a sub bass or a reese... you usually only sidekick with a kick or some other sharp sound you don't really wanna sidekick an 808 into a sub bass or reese or something that'd be wild
Yeah you don't wanna have 2 kinds of basses playing at the same time at anytime. That's why you even EQ out the low ends of everything else. You want one bass playing, loud and clear so it doesn't get muddy and sloppy.

or you can sidechain it so one sound ducks when the other plays this way you can keep both without them fighting to be heard at the same frequency

is it possible to put the bass slides and 808's playing at the same time or does it mess up everything?
