I think you got the bass confused with the mid frequency’s because our bass levels are pretty similar. Also this track is louder which gives an illusion of more bass. This mix sounds muddy (too much low and low-mids) and the drums sound a bit washed out. If you listen on monitors it would sound dull. The peaks are high and clips the track. Clipping doesn’t make the audio sound hard it just sounds like you slammed into you limiter. Hard trap for example uses distortion but it doesn’t clip.

Yo honestly the idea is already fire but the mix needs work especially the drums and percussion. I did a rework to see how I would mix and master + arrange this genre take a listen: https://soundation.com/user/VV53-Music/track/pistache-shatter-vv53-rework

Typical Pistache W. Nice work! If you could make the snare bigger (whether you layer other snares or add a crap ton of reverb) would make it like, 3% harder. Good work otherwise!
