Are menstrual periods still taboo?

Taboo: something that is socially unacceptable to talk about. I once mentioned menstruation in a comment on a track called "Drifted Apart" and did not receive anything negative. I also mentioned it to a female acquaintance in class once. I told her that after my English final, I fell asleep and when I woke up, my period cramps were gone. How do you think the topic of menstruation is treated? Like something gross and shameful? Or something normal and accepted? Comment your thoughts.

i mean, people like to talk about anything on this website, i dont why menstruation would be a taboo subject. but keep in mind that on this website, its mostly boys under the age of puberty, they dont know jackshit about it and think its gross (which is not the case). talk to an adult, preferably a woman, a pharmacist or even a doctor if you wanna have a real discussion on it

I mean, maybe a little gross to some, but certainly not shameful

I'm not sure this is a really a topic fit for Soundation, but generally speaking, I wouldn't say its taboo for the most part.
