usually i use the reverb and the equalizer effects. the equalizer enables you to bring up or bring down the volume of that certain frequency (there are 3 frequencies: low, mid, and high). the low frequency is basically the "bass" part of that sound and the mid frequency (i think) makes up the brunt of the instrument.

i dont know what the high frequency is for, but i do know that if you lower it, it makes that instrument less "piercing"
