I agree to some extent. While what you said about imperfections is true you should still want your track to be perfect (not in other people's eyes but in yours.) You should be completely happy with every single last detail in the final mix. At least that's how I am cause I release something too soon and then regret it later on. I can't tell you how many times that's happened to me because I just want to hurry up and drop what ever the hell random shit I made in like two days lol.

To be completely honest all my currently released songs are shit because of the fact I made them call wayyyy to fucking fast and was lazy and totally didn't bother shit about mixing. But damn are you boys in for a treat cause I have a whole bunch of fire ass jams coming out on my new ep. It'll be hella tightt. But yeah I did highpass a lotta shit on my songs to be fair.
I wouldn’t call it ear pearcing. The high frequencies are pretty low for this song tbh, I just used an exciter to bring all frequencies out well and audibly. And yea songs are supposed to go up to 20khz that’s kinda how it works lmao. If you don’t like it then I’m sorry that you don’t like sounds in the audible spectrum
