With the mission of finding tomorrow’s star producers and support emerging talent, BMG and Soundation are joining forces for a new series of remix challenges. The premiere competition features rising Swedish popstar Nova Miller’s single “Turn up the Fire.” The winner will score an official release with BMG.
The list of producers who’ve broke through by remixing other’s tracks is long – Kygo, Zeeb, NOTD, among many others. Now, Soundation and BMG are bringing this method to a broader talent pool, with a long-term goal of discovering new talent and helping them develop.
“As music production gets more accessible and widespread, we have to focus on the next step by taking care of this fresh talent and helping them grow. Soundation’s mission is to democratize music production by making it possible for anyone to become a music producer, and this challenge is a great opportunity for new producers to level up”, says Adam Hasslert, CEO of Soundation.
The challenge is simply about producing the best remix – taking the soul of the original track, flipping it and making it shine in a new light. The winning producer gets an official release of the remix together with Nova Miller and BMG, a coaching session with BMG and a year of free Soundation Premium. The submission deadline is October 26.
“This is a great way for BMG to seek out and connect with girls and boys around the globe who might be the next star producer. I’m very excited and looking forward to hear what they will do with the Nova Miller track ”Turn Up The Fire”, says Sanken Sandqvist, Managing Director BMG Scandinavia.
The pop track by Swedish artist Nova Miller, “Turn up the Fire” is about passion and having a burning desire for someone or something you can’t live without.
