Don't care who made it, what they made, or how they made it. It must be something that showcases what soundation studio is capable of. I would put special emphasis on tracks that have vocals in them. If anyone does find a track with vocals in them show it to me. Other than tracks with vocals, as long as it showcases soundation studio, in some way, it is fine. Loops and samples are fine, too ;)
(I do have a tendency to be busy in life so sorries on that) My idea with this group was to send out invites to the users whose tracks would be included in the album. Everything would happen in one group. And my basic idea for having an album to showcase Soundation was to have the users on the Top Users list in the album, but then I figured that would be reserved for the official album that Bil, and the Soundation/PowerFX team were going to do in the first place. I'll list several ideas for tracks in the next post:
So here's my wild idea. We can pick three abstract concepts (e.g. love, fear, and pain) and give three weeks to come up with a three-part track that tackles each concept seperately. Doesn't need to be a complete track, just needs to approach an idea, then cut to the next. No track length minimum or maximum, just artistic endeavor.
Yea... Like I said, the playing field has to be even on all points. Which means thinking outside the box for established producers, and trying new things for artists who haven't quite figured out their niche yet (like myself).
@XJM: That's fine too. :] I just understood this group as the discussion of the real group, so that we could have a real group going while this one could still be used for planning and ideas. I don't care either way, lol.
Why don't we just use this group? lol If "Soundation Exhibit" is fine with everyone I'll just remove the "(Tentative Title)". That's why this group exists lol.....
I considered the contest idea. The only catch is that many, many people will not participate in a contest because of the assumption that a set bracket of people will always trend at the top and make the list, so artists eventually stop trying. We would have to ensure an even playing field for all participants, and that might take some thought. As for the group, I have a shell of one set up. I'll just rename it and invite you and XJM, and we can decide on a format later.

And, next time, just PM me if you don't hear from me in this group in a while. I do have a life to live :p

OR, for especially advanced users, we could disallow the use of loops, or of a certain VI, or drums!

Good question. If you are in the top twenty or have more than 75 published tracks, you will be expected to transition from each concept seamlessly.
